Bruno Dias, PhD, CTM, PCI, has 23 years of public safety experience. He served as a police commander on the Monterey Peninsula, directed K-12 safety and security initiatives in Texas, and spearheaded targeted violence and terrorism prevention efforts within the federal government. His diverse background includes researching targeted violence and managing security and violence prevention programs for a Fortune 10 company.
An active member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), Dr. Dias previously served as Vice President of the ATAP South Central Chapter and currently sits on the board of the Latin American Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ALATAP). He has presented globally for numerous agencies and organizations and is internationally recognized as a subject matter expert in behavioral threat assessment and management. He also contributes to the Global Summit to Eradicate Hate, playing a key role in developing the inaugural resource clearinghouse for professional development in behavioral threat assessment and management.
Dr. Dias holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, Public Policy, and Law and postgraduate degrees in Homeland Defense and Security Studies and Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and is certified as both a Board-Certified Investigator and a Certified Threat Manager.
